The Process

Tobacco leaves are harvested by hand at the precise moment of optimal ripeness. Our experienced farmers assess each leaf individually, understanding that the position on the plant—from the mild volado at the bottom to the robust ligero at the top—determines its role in the final blend.

Freshly harvested leaves undergo a careful curing process in traditional barns, where temperature and humidity are precisely controlled. This is followed by fermentation—a natural process that reduces harshness and develops the complex flavors that distinguish premium cigars.

Our tobacco is aged for a minimum of seven years in climate-controlled facilities in Estelí. During this extended period, the leaves continue to develop complexity, smoothness, and depth. This patience is central to the Flor De Castillo difference.

Master blenders carefully select and combine leaves from different primings and harvest years to create our signature blends. This artful balance of flavors, strength, and burning characteristics defines each cigar in our collection.

Each Flor De Castillo cigar is hand-rolled by master torcedores trained in the Cuban tradition. Using techniques passed down through generations, they transform aged tobacco into works of art, ensuring perfect construction, draw, and burn.

Each cigar is carefully protected and presented to preserve its quality and character. From the moment it leaves the rolling table, it is handled with precision to maintain optimal humidity, aroma, and structure.

The journey concludes in a refined and balanced smoking experience that reflects every step of the process. From the first draw to the final third, each cigar delivers complexity, consistency, and smoothness.
